The Irish group of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) will hold the 38th annual groundwater conference at the Tullamore Court Hotel on the 24th and 25th April 2018.
This year’s programme under the theme “Groundwater Matters: Science and Practice” will be opened by Seán Kyne, TD, Minister for Natural Resources. The keynotes will be addressed by Geoff Parkin (Newcastle University, UK), presenting The citizen hydroscientist – benefits and challenges for hydrogeology and John McCray (Colorado School of Mines, USA) talking about innovations on Engineered streambeds for water quality enhancement in urban streams.
There will be a designated Early Career Hydrogeologists Network (ECHN) session, followed by posters and the wine reception before celebrating the day with dinner, drinks and discussions at the social evening. This year the conference will end with a site-visit to the Ardan wellfield.
